Who are you? Cathy Nester, owner of the Flower Cupboard, a locally owned and operated full service florist that has been in business for over 35 years.
What makes your services unique? As a family owned business I am able to work with my daughter, Amber. Together we love and take pride in the work we do. Combined with my experience and Amber’s chic perspective we are able to provide a classic look with a fresh twist to our weddings. All of our weddings are customized to meet the needs of the couples. There is not a wedding too small or too large for our staff. We are just as excited to be a part of a 25 guest wedding or a 250+ guest wedding.
What is your favorite aspect of Williamsburg Weddings? Even though it is a small town, we have access to a lot of unique venues that can provide a very romantic setting for our couples. Because of this we get to work with local couples as well as destination couples. We have worked with numerous couples that have come from Europe, Africa, Japan, etc.
If you could bring one celebrity wedding to Williamsburg and you could (cater, photograph, host, etc.) it, whose wedding would it be and why? Oprah, she loves a lot of flowers and would be the biggest promoter of Williamsburg and its charm and history. It would be fun to host an array of events throughout the gardens and Williamsburg.
