Back to Basics: Level 2

Happy Birthday to this Weddlady's mom, Sharon.  And I wish everyone a serene and fulfilling Patriot's Day as well.

Now that you're savvy about Wedding Day Management, let's kick it up a notch.  Partial Service Planning (what we call the "Rescue Me Package" just for fun): a package meant for couples who want to plan their weddings, but need some regular guidance throughout the planning process.

With partial-service planning, you get a professional coordinator in the background to help guide you through the ins and outs of planning, but you still do most of the time-consuming stuff yourself.  For example, you may have much more e-mail contact with your coordinator, but you attend most of your vendor meetings on your own and check in regularly with your coordinator to make sure you're on track.  Generally, the coordinator will attend your final vendor meetings to get the whole scoop - but essentially you are purchasing more coordinator time, and you get to choose (to a certain extent) how to use the time best to fit your needs.  It's a nebulous category, but budget-wise can provide access to a professional coordinator to couple's who cannot afford a full-service wedding planner.  More on the latter in part 3!
